The Ghost in the Attic

Once upon a time, there was a young couple who decided to buy a beautiful old house in the countryside. The house was in the middle of a forest, and they thought it would be the perfect place to start their new life together.

As they were unpacking their things, they realized that the attic above their bedroom was locked. They couldn't find any key to open it, so they decided to leave it for later and continue with their unpacking.

Later that night, as they were getting ready for bed, they heard a strange noise coming from the attic. They went upstairs to investigate and discovered that the door to the attic was open. They cautiously entered and saw that the attic was full of old furniture, boxes, and trunks.

Suddenly, they heard a voice say, "Boo!" They turned around and saw a ghostly figure floating in the air. The ghost was dressed in a white nightgown and had a pale face with dark circles around its eyes.

The couple was terrified, but the ghost seemed friendly and not threatening. It floated towards them and said, "Don't be afraid. I'm just a lonely ghost looking for some company."

The couple calmed down and started to communicate with the ghost. They learned that the ghost was a woman who had died many years ago. She had been killed by her jealous husband, who had hidden her body in the attic and then pretended to be innocent.

The ghost explained that she wanted to be free from her earthly pain and torment and asked for their help to release her from her eternal suffering. She also revealed that she had left behind a hidden treasure in the attic that would only be revealed to those who were pure of heart.

After much consideration, the young couple agreed to help the ghost and set out to find the hidden treasure. They searched through all the boxes and trunks, and finally found a small chest with a lock of golden hair and a note that said, "To my beloved, from your ghostly friend."

The young couple released the lock of hair into the wind, and suddenly, a bright light appeared in the attic. When the light disappeared, they saw that the ghost had vanished, but they also discovered a bag of gold coins that they had never seen before.

After that night, they never heard from the ghost again, but they always felt a presence in the attic whenever they passed by. They also used the gold coins to help start their new life together.
